  1. Firstly you have to cook your basmati rice. For this, take your 2 cups of rice and soak them in the water for, say, 10-15 minutes. Then, drain the water and cook them in boiling water for 20-30 minutes until softened. Make sure you won’t overcook or undercook the rice.
